- By way of introduction, I serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Governance Officer for the CANADA BC Business Service Centre Society, Small Business BC, the British Columbia Member of the Canada Business Network.
Our organization works for people starting, growing and transitioning their business in British Columbia.
My Board of Directors runs as a Results Governance Board, as opposed to an “Operating” Board of Directors. The purpose of the board, on behalf of the people who value the establishment and growth of small business in British Columbia, is to see to it that Small Business BC (a) achieves appropriate results for appropriate persons at an appropriate cost, and (b) avoids unacceptable actions and situations.
